Let me start this off by saying that my husband is a very hard working man who aims to please his clients and, of course his wife. I truly do believe that he deserves wonderful things in life, including the gigantic-monstrous truck he has been pestering me about for a little over a year now. So, this past Wednesday while I was working and conversing with Jeff via text message, he tells me that a truck had just arrived at his place of business that was to be sold. For those of you who don’t know, my husband works a local Lexus dealership and he gets to have the luxury of seeing a variety of vehicles, including the really expensive ones that we will probably never be able to afford! All the while, he also gets to have first dibs on a car that he likes…lucky me, or in this case him! Anyway, he proceeds to tell me that he will be bringing it home so that I can see “the thing“, or as he calls it “The Beast #2” (#1 being his motorcycle).
So, after work, I get home to find a ginormous, hard-to-miss, monster-looking truck sitting in my driveway. I must say, I absolutely, positively do not like “The Thing” (my name for this truck).
After a long conversation regarding the purchase of a truck of this magnitude, the maintence that it will require, and the non-functional truck-like options that it possesses, I told my wonderful, ever-so-loving and deserving husband that if he truly wanted THIS truck we would purchase it for him. Needless to say, he was very ecstatic about the whole thing and swore that he would be keeping this truck for a very long time. We, as in my husband and I, are not known for keeping cars for very long so I thought that this was quite humourous. Let me put this into perspective for you, in the nearly 4 years that we have been together, I have owned 3 different vehicles and he has now owned 4 others. So, since I sacrificed the vehicle I’ve been wanting for his truck, the next on my list of vehicles to purchase will be a Lexus GX 470.
While Jeff was purchasing his new toy, I drove to San Antonio to pick Josh up for his Spring Break vacation with us. After I picked up Josh from school, I noticed this!
Missing teeth! He now has 3 windows and more to come! Can’t wait to see what fun and creative things we will be doing this week! While I was in San Antonio I made plans to have lunch with some wonderful gals that I use to work with. We ate at Red Lobster and caught up on each other’s lives. I miss them tons…until next time gals!
