Tonight, Elaine and I had a girl’s night out at the movies and we went and saw this:
I read the book (in less than 2 days) and I thought it was great. I cried so much while reading the last few chapters of this book, as it was very sad. Elaine also wanted to read the book, so she started reading it while she was here visiting for spring break. She finished the last few chapters just hours before we went to the movie theater.
The movie was not as good as the book, but that is usually the case so I wasn’t surprised. However, Elaine was quite disappointed because she already knew what was going to happen before it did. She also stated that she would never read the book before watching a movie again. Oh the thoughts of pre-tween! I’m sure I would have thought the same thing when I was her age. I love reading the book before watching the movie, but then again it could be because it prevents me from crying like a baby in the movie theater. I managed to refrain from crying, but I must say that this movie was sad. Here it is, a fair WARNING: Ladies and gentlemen, tissue is required for the viewing of this movie. Enjoy!
