Post-op day #4 (Monday) was Jeff’s first day back at work, post surgery. His biggest complaint was nausea. His job requires a lot of walking and assisting of his clients, so to accomodate him while at work his managers have allowed someone else to help him and to do all of the walking for him. He simply sits at his desk with his leg elevated and helps his clients from his office. Thank God that his managers were understanding about the situation.
Post-op day #5 (Tuesday):
Jeff went to his first appointment for physical therapy. He stated that it was very painful to perform the exercises that they asked him to do. They said that the swelling was at a minimum and that every thing looked great. They also told him that he was doing more of the exercises than most people could do this early in the game. He will have physical therapy 3 times a week for several weeks, but I know that he’ll do great.
Overall, he’s doing fine. He still is requiring a lot of help from me with his normal activities of daily living. It’s a good thing that I only have to work one weekday a week. He has his second post-op appointment with Dr. T on Friday, so I’ll keep everyone updated.
