Mason-Week 10

Highlights of our week:

• This week you went with mommy to a doctors appointment and you did so well. You normally hate to stay in your carrier unless we’re physically moving, but you stayed in there for mommy’s entire appointment. As soon as we got back in the car you fell asleep.
• On Saturday, you went with mommy to have lunch with one of her really good friends. You were a big boy and sat in the carrier again for our entire lunch! I think you might be getting used to being in it! Sweet Stefanie was due to have her precious baby girl any day now, so we wanted to see each other and catch up before she had better things to do…like take care of little Ms. Adelyn. Well, we met up just in time because sweet little Adelyn was born on Monday. Congratulations Stefanie and Kevin!
• Mommy and daddy went to meet the teachers in the infant room at the daycare that you’ll be going to for a couple of weeks. This daycare that you’ll be going to is temporary because the daycare that you’re supposed to go to isn’t going to be built and ready in time for when mommy has to go back to work. Leaving you at daycare is something I have absolutely been dreading! I.Do.Not.Want to leave you with anyone else! Needless to say, I lost it when I walked out! I could not hold back the tears! Mommy and daddy have discussed me staying home with you, but as of right now that isn’t an option because you’ll have to go to daycare when mommy has clinicals for school.
• On Sunday, we also decided to try to take you to church for the first time. You did great for most of the service, but mommy sat you in her lap just to prevent you from crying if you decided that you would want to. Daddy was ushering so we got to see him serve and then he sat with us for the rest of the service. You looked like such a big, handsome boy!

• You mostly love to fall asleep in mommy’s arms, but this week you fell asleep a few times just sitting in mommy’s lap! So sweet, no matter how you choose to fall asleep with me!

“Okay, mom. You got your smile. Now, get that thing out of my face.” (Never mind the drool. Daddy lets the drool run down his face…without ever wiping it off his chin.)
