Sweet baby boy, I can’t believe your 2 1/2 months already. Where does the time go? I absolutely adore you and love seeing how much you change every single week. Slow down. Every week you are becoming more and more interactive. It is so fun seeing all of your facial expressions and hearing you try to talk. I’m trying to take in every minute I have with you, because mommy has to go back to work in a coupe of weeks and I’m so NOT looking forward to it. Here are your photos and highlights of this week:
- Mommy took you to take Valentine photos, since this will be your very first Valentine’s! You didn’t want to smile for the first few sets, I know it was because your camera shy, but towards the end you started to smile; I can’t wait to see your photos! You definitely are going to be the cutest valentine EVER!
- You are sleeping better through the night and are now waking up between 5:30-6:00am. This works out great since this will be our routine once mommy has to go back to work. You tend to squirm occasionally, but you settle yourself by putting one of your hands right next to your mouth and you fall right back asleep.
- You love watching TV and looking at the bright images on the screen. So, mommy will put cartoons on the iPad while I get dressed and this seems to keep you calm!
- You still HATE tummy time. You occasionally will lift your head, but you would rather scoot yourself forward and when you realize you aren’t flipping over you start to fuss. Daddy does “exercises” with you, as he likes to call them, where he grabs your hands and you lift yourself up. You have great head control and you are really strong. He is amazed that you can do this by yourself and 10 weeks old. I agree. You’re pretty amazing!
- You’re eating about 6-7 times a day right now. Next week mommy will start giving you a bottle once a day to get you used to them for daycare. You’ve taken a bottle twice over the past 10 weeks and you did great both times! You’re currently taking about 5 ounces per feed from your bottles…you’re a growing boy!
- You don’t fuss anymore during your daytime diaper changes, instead you lay there and look around or smile and talk.
- You’ve recently discovered your tongue and you love to stick your tongue out and make silly faces.
