Baby boy, 16 weeks technically makes you 4 months. Time is going by too quickly! I sure do wish that I could stop time. I just love how sweet and snuggly you are right now. Your growing and learning so much every day. Here are the highlights of your week:
- This week was your second week at your new daycare. So far you seem to really enjoy it and are always happy when mommy picks you up. You’re definitely napping better and I am so thankful for this, I’m praying that soon you’ll get back to sleeping for most of the night.
- As of this week you do not want to be rocked to sleep, you prefer to be laid down and fall asleep on your own. I know that this is better for you, so I’ll accept it, but I sure still do want to hug and hold you while you go to sleep in my arms.
- You are eating 6 ounces every 4 hours while at daycare and are nursing every morning and every evening.
- You’re definitely showing us that you’ve got a great big belly laugh. It’s the cutest thing ever.
- This week we’ve had some big changes. Mommy stepped down from her position as a team leader so that I can be there for you more during the day and so that I can focus on my school work. The new hours will be tough, but I’m praying that in the end it’ll all work out and be beneficial for our family.
- Since I now work different hours, mommy takes you to daycare and picks you up. I kept you home with me one day so that I could spend time with you, but all of the other days mommy has to do clinical hours for school. It’s been an adjustment for everyone. Daddy now has to feed you and put you to bed at night. This worries mommy a little, not because I think that he can’t do it, but because you love your daddy so much and you think that it is playtime every time you’re with him. You definitely aren’t used to being put to bed with a bottle, so it’s been a little challenging for your daddy, but I have faith that you’ll adjust and be just fine.
- You’ve really become more interested in toys and are now grabbing them and putting them straight into your mouth! Everything goes in your mouth! Ms. Tracy seems to think that your teething, guess we’ll find out soon enough.
