Mason-Week 30

Baby boy you sure are changing ever so quickly! You are really beginning to develop your own little personality and it is so fun to watch. This week you had a few firsts, so here we go with the highlights of your week….

• You flew on your FIRST airplane! You and I went to CC to see your uncle graduate from high school. You did great on the way there. I tried to plan our flights to coordinate with nap time, so you fell asleep as we were waiting for the plane to take off and woke up 5 minutes before we landed. The way back, well, that we a different story! Our flight got delayed and you fell asleep  while we were waiting to board the plane. Unfortunately, that meant you were really grumpy and sleepy on the plane. You fussed almost the entire way back, because you don’t like to be rocked or held to sleep; you prefer to lay down and fall asleep on your own. While I do love this about you, at this moment I wished that you would just fall asleep while I held you. Finally, about 15 minutes before we landed at DFW, you fell asleep…of course! All in all you did well and I managed to lug you, your carrier, and our luggage around…all by myself!!
• While we were in CC you also got sick for the FIRST time. Not really sick, just a bad cold! I’m not sure if it was the whether/climate change, but you had profuse nasal drainage and just looked miserable. I really dislike seeing you this way, because there isn’t much that I can do about it besides suction your nose.
• You are still climbing on everything, like a little monkey. 
• You’re still sleeping through the night after going to bed at 9:00pm and waking up between 4-6:00am, but immediately fall back asleep after your early morning bottle. 
• You’re eating 3 meals a day and drinking 6 ounces, 5 times day.
