This week we celebrated Independence Day, and it was your very first 4th of July. Every 4th of July our awesome neighborhood has an all day celebration. We rented a golf cart for the occasion, and you absolutely loved riding in the golf cart. In the afternoon, we went to the pool and in the evening we had burgers at the club and later watched the fireworks on the green by the lake. It was a perfect evening with great weather.
- This week you’ve really begun mimicking sounds. You still love to click your tongue, but you’ve also begun making noises with your lips. You definitely try to mimick any sounds that we show you. You are a smart boy!
- Your personality is really beginning to show! You’ve started squeezing your fists and yelling. Not necessarily if you’re frustrated, you just like to do this for whatever reason.
- When mommy is getting your bottle ready, you’ve started saying ba-ba. If I ask you if you’re ready for your ba-ba, you repeat it after me.
- This week we moved you into a big boy car seat. You really enjoy siting in it. I’m sure it’s more comfortable.
- You’re doing great with the weaning process. At this point you are only breastfeeding in the AM, and you are taking bottles for the rest of your feedings. You’re still drinking 6 ounces every 4 hours.
- You are eating 3 times a day with one snack.

You with Joshua and daddy!
Watching everyone at the pool while you sit with daddy!
A now and then photo. Last year, on the 4th of July, I was pregnant with you.
Sitting on the green, enjoying the breeze, and playing with your toys.
As seeing that the fireworks are late, you fell asleep before they began.
You didn’t sleep for very long after the fireworks started. Below is you playing with the glow sticks.
Climbing all over your momma!
Loving your big boy car seat.
