When it comes to developmental mile markers, this week marks an eventful week. You’ve been standing on your own for a few weeks now, but earlier this week we noticed that you were starting to stand for longer periods of time. Well, four days ago, on October 12, you took your first steps while mommy was on FaceTime with you and daddy. I was so, so sad I missed it, but very glad I got to see it even if it was via phone chat. I was in Lubbock again this week for 3 days 🙁
I guess I should back up and say that on October 11 you were completely off of the bottle. Mommy decided that this weekend would be the weekend that you would go from bottle to sippy cup. Cold turkey. Since you love your bottle so much, I expected that it would be a difficult transition, but much to my surprise you took your morning feeding with you sippy cup and drank it like a champ. We also started the transition from formula to whole milk by giving you half and half. You’re still drinking milk 4 times a day, eating 3 meals and 2 snack. There were a lot of changes all at once, but you did so well. I can’t believe you’ll be ONE in just two short weeks.
