My baby boy,
Let me apologize in advance. I’ve been really good about capturing your growth every single month since you were born. This past month we were so busy with traveling that I just did not have time. I took plenty of photos of you while we were in Concan so those are the ones that I’ve used for this post 🙁 I’m sure someday you’ll think I was crazy for even bothering to take monthly photos of you, but I’m also sure that someday you’ll thank me for it.
Well, enough of that. I can’t believe that you are turning 2 next month. I can’t believe that I’ve been so blessed to call you mine for 2 years. I’m amazed at how quickly this time has gone and, to be honest, it’s all a bit much for me to take in. There just might be a few tears shed when my little boy turns 2. Moving on.
You have puzzles that you’ve had for a long time, but up until the last couple of weeks you never really cared about them. The 2 that you do have, you enjoy taking apart and putting back together. Everyday you amaze me at how smart you are. You’ve also had a play cell phone for a long time too. You used to just push the buttons, watch the lights, and listen to the noise that it makes. Recently you’ve started putting the phone to your hear and pretend to have a conversation with mommy or daddy or nana. You say, “Hallo”. I’ll usually respond with “Hi, Mason. What are you doing?” and you say, “watching tv” or “playing with toys”. Smart, smart buddy!
Every morning you see mommy fill the dogs water and food bowl. This past week you have began to help mommy feed the dogs. You are such a big helper. You let mommy fill the water and food bowl, and you love to put them in their place.
You’re still loving the outdoors, and we are trying to make the most of it while the weather is still good. Soon we’ll have colder weather and have to spend more time indoors.
Our bedtime routine is still the same. We brushing your teeth, read books, pray, sing, and then lights out. You still pick out your own books, but reading time is becoming a little more challenging. Often times, you want to just flip thru the pages and not actually read. So, we go with the flow. You still favor for mommy to put you to bed.
You’re drinking 6-8 ounces of milk three times a day (8:30am, 11:30am, and 6:00pm).
You are eating 3 times a day (8:30am, 11:30am, and 6:00pm) with an occasional morning snack, and afternoon snack.
Your nap time is at 12:00-3:00pm.
You have bath time around 7:00-7:30pm, go to bed between 8:00-8:30pm, and wake up between 7:00-8:00am.
