This past week we did nothing crazy or unusual. I’m just preparing for the traveling that we will be doing in March. On Tuesday my husband got out early from work and he told Mason that he would take him to Toys R Us to get him a toy. So that we did, and then enjoyed a quiet dinner at Panera.
On Wednesday, Mason and I ran some errands. I needed to go to The Container Store and get a few items to ship off some custom USB’s for my photography clients. We then went to the pet store to get food for the dogs. Mason loves the pet store. We have to see every living creature before we can actually get the dog food and leave. On Thursday, we relaxed at home and then I went to go work out while Mason and the hubs went to check on the progress on our home and feed some ducks.
On Saturday I worked for a few hours and then Mason and I went to shop for some shoes for myself. I’ll be shopping for Mason later this week. The weather has been so warm lately and I expect plenty of sunny days coming up so I need to get him some spring clothes. We had a nice quiet dinner with an ex co-worker of mine. It’s always great getting to catch up with friends.
Sunday was a usual day for us: church, lunch and dinner.
For dinner we went and met my oldest stepson at Texas Roadhouse. Hopefully when our house is built we can have a nice simple dinner at home instead of eating out every Sunday.
I’m really excited to get this week over with, because I have the best day trip planned on Saturday. Stay tuned more on that later! I hope you all have great week! Happy Monday!
He loves looking at magazines.
Our Toys R Us adventure.
I was hoping he wouldn’t see this train table. He did not want to leave. I have to convince him to keep walking so we could try to find a big Thomas the Train that he could ride on.
Admiring the lizards.
Funny story! One day this week I took Mason’s diaper off to get him in the tub. I walked out of the bathroom to put some things away. He walked to where I was and said “mommy, I go pee-pee”. I asked “where did you go pee-pee?”. He said “I go pee-pee on the floor”. Okay. Off I got to check and sure enough he did. I told him that if he needed to pee, he needed to go in the toilet or his diaper. I walked off again to get one thing. When I came back into the bathroom he had one leg hanging towards the floor and the other leg with a knee on the toilet and he was leaning into the toilet! The last thing I need for him to do is fall in the toilet and become totally traumatized. He’s becoming more interested in the toilet, so I began doing some research. I found this cool potty toilet that looks just like a real toilet, but much smaller. I’m going to do more research about toilet seat covers vs. toilet training potty’s. What worked best for you?
Playing with the toys in the well room at momma’s work.
Sunday we did a little sunglass shopping for myself.
Our weekly Target run. Mason ended up with these shades.
