This past week I was off the entire week. It was great to have time off, but I also did a lot of catching up with things that needed to be done at home. Mason went to daycare on his usual 3 days while I stayed home and did a few things.
On Wednesday, we had our obligatory yearly visit with the Easter Bunny. It went alright considering that my son is currently 2 years old, doesn’t like to smile, and loves temper tantrums. He didn’t have a temper tantrum right at that moment, but I did have to bribe him to smile for the Easter Bunny, even at that I only got a half smile and him saying “I no want to smile for the Easter Bunny”. Oh, boy! I took what I could get. You’ll get to see those pics later this week. I had to drive awhile to get to an Easter Bunny, because we don’t exactly live near a mall anymore, nor will we for awhile. So, after our visit with the Bunny, we went and had lunch with my husband and my aunt since we were already near my husbands job. My aunt happened to be at my husbands job because my cousin, her daughter, was buying a fancy car.
I had great plans to go see the Texas Tulips this week, in Pilot Point, but it got a little chilly outside towards the end of the week and I decided not to. Maybe this week we’ll check it out when the weather warms up a bit. I’m not much of a cold weather gal. If staying home is an option in cold weather, I will.
On Saturday, I worked for a few hours and then we went and had lunch with my husband before he headed out of town for a fishing tournament. He was pretty excited to go fishing. He came back home on Sunday and won a cash prize. He ended up in 4th place out of 700 other boats. First place was $15,000 and a boat. That was his goal, but I thought he did pretty well coming in 4th place.
Playing monster trucks with my boy!
“I swimming like a fish”, said Mason.
Playing with his race track.
He was so into wearing green for St. Patty’s Day that he decided to bite on a green crayon. He said “crayon yucky”.
Lunch with the hubs before he left to go to his fishing tournament. This boy loves to dip anything and everything. He actually liked the balsamic vinegar.
Sending daddy goodnight kisses.
He was excited his daddy was home. He sat and loved on him for all of 5 minutes. That’s a long time for this momma’s boy!
My husband weighing in his fish! So proud of him!
