I’ll start off by saying that my first part of the morning will have zero pics because it was WAY to early. Okay, let’s just jump right into a day in our life….
6:30am-My husband so kindly woke me up to ask me where his arm brace was at. Because I’m supposed to know. I figured since I was awake I would take the dogs out. As of yesterday, Max has had a weak bladder. So weak that he is having to go out every hour. Talk about exhausting. It’s related to the steroid shot that he got last week for his allergies.
6:45am-I went ahead went back to sleep since I knew Mason would be waking up by 8:00am.
8:00am-As predicted, I woke up to the sound of “mommy” coming from the monitor in Mason’s room. I got up and brought him to my bed. He watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse while I snoozed a little longer.
8:20am-I took the dogs out again. I knew Max was about ready to go any minute.
8:30am-I make breakfast for Mason and I.
9:15am-Mason played with his train in the kitchen while I unloaded and loaded the dishwasher.
11:30am– We are finally dressed. I served lunch to my little man right after this pic. His choice of mac n’ cheese.
12:00pm-We finally made it out of the house.
12:15pm-He’s out. This is normally his nap time, but sometimes he has to snooze in the car if we intend to get things done. It doesn’t happen very often. I usually make our plans around his nap time.
12:45pm– We made it to Texas Tulips. We hung out in the car for about 15 minutes while I let Mason continue to sleep. More about our visit here one post back.
1:30pm-We left Texas Tulips and ran a few errands before we headed back home.
3:00pm-We made it back home and Mason wanted to play on his slide. My poor child loves being outside, and I can’t wait until we are in our house so he can go out and play freely. This slide has gotten a little to small for him. We will be getting him a much bigger play set when we get settled into our house. Luckily, the weather is still fluctuating between warm days and cold days, but we will be moving just as the weather will be warmer everyday.
6:37pm: I serve Mason’s dinner and start cooking our dinner. Tonight is Mexican Zucchini and Beef. You can find the recipe here. It’s perfect for clean eating.
7:02pm-Our dinner is still finishing up, but Mason is done and he wants cookies since he ate all of his dinner.
7:15pm-I’m finally eating my dinner. It’s never uninterrupted. While I’m eating Mason repeatedly asks me “Are you finished?”. He wants me to turn his train on.
7:23pm-I usually talk to my mom almost everyday, so I make time to FaceTime her while I eat my dinner.
7:38pm-Finally finished eating. Mason wanted me to play with his cars.
7:45pm-My husband made it home, but he had to go to our garage to find Mason’s Easter basket. He needs it for his Spring Fling at school tomorrow.
8:35pm-Mason’s teeth are brushed and he’s all changed and ready for bed. Lately he’s not been into reading books before bedtime. He would much rather play quietly with his cars or trains. Again, I can’t wait until we move and all of his toys will be in the playroom. I do feel that having toys in his room has definitely interfered with our normal bedtime routine. It’s been rough, but there just isn’t anywhere to put all of his toys in an apartment. Anyway, he plays with a train before the lights go out. Some battles aren’t worth fighting.
8:39pm-I see this pop up on my FB feed. At this point, I’m already giving Mason his 5 minute warming of the lights going out. It’s way past his bedtime already.
8:47pm-Well, Mason didn’t make in bed before the thunder started. He has never been afraid of thunder or rain, until our last major storm last month. He was at school and the tornado sirens were going off. I guess they made them hide in the bathroom and it scared him. So here he was looking out the window. He was saying “It’s thunder outside. We need to hide.” I had to reassure him that all was well. He wanted to lay on the floor with his blanket and pillow, and me right next to him.
9:00pm-It didn’t take him long to fall asleep despite the thunder.
9:04pm-I literally had just laid Mason in his bed when this alert happened. I’ll be damned if I’m waking my son up who just fell asleep. I walked out of his room to watch the news.
9:16pm-This was on the news. Right in our location. Ugh!!! We watched as they said the circulation was no longer strongly developed. Oh, okay!
10:28pm-I’m finishing up this post. The hubs just said goodnight. I’m about to put a load of clothes on the washer, and take the dogs out one last time before I head off to bed.
Nighty, night y’all!
