As promised here are some pictures that were captured on our first two days in Corpus. Our first day was pretty low key. After a 6 hour drive, you just don’t want to do much that has to do with being in a car. After we got to my mom’s house and unpacked our car, we sat at her house for about an hour and then we went and had lunch.
Day 1
I put this sweater on him when we left Dallas, because it was cold. I knew that it would be warming up and this could be easily taken off; however, he wanted to leave this on all day!
After lunch, I finally got the sweater off of him. Here he is relaxing and watching a movie at his nana’s house.
My husband went fishing that night with my uncle, cousin, and brother. He didn’t have much luck, but my cousin did.
Day 2
Asking his uncle Alex to “sit right here” and play with his toys. We slept in on the second day. I knew we had a long day ahead of us as we headed to the Texas State Aquarium and the U. S. S. Lexington.
Our first stop was the Texas State Aquarium.
Mason did not like the “scary” sharks.
Hanging on to daddy tight.
Mason and his nana. The finger on the mouth is his latest habit. Anytime the camera comes out his finger goes up!
Mason loved watching the barges and tug boats.
Giant sea turtles.
My two loves.
A view of the U. S. S. Lexington from the Texas State Aquarium.
This was the Haloflight Bird Show. We really enjoyed this short 30 minute show.
Running away from his uncle Alex.
Looking at the dolphins with his nana.
We had lunch at Pier 99. Mason fell asleep before our late lunch was served. After lunch, our second stop was at the U. S. S. Lexington.
This was on the deck of the ship. Mason loved looking at all of the airplanes and helicopters.
Pointing at another plane.
Like most people, I think that my hometown is pretty boring. People I know that aren’t from Corpus, love it. There just isn’t a lot to do, but if your ever in town there are a few things that you can do.
Stay tuned for my post tomorrow of Day 3, Easter Day, with my crazy family!
