With closing in almost two weeks there will be a lot of things happening to prepare for our home to be completely ready for move in. Things that still need to be done are:
- wood floors
- carpeting
- baseboards
- shower framing
- correction of backsplash
- painting of garage
- paint touch up inside of house
- front door install
- landscaping
- fence installed
- correct exterior lights placed
- appliance installation
While it may not seem like a lot of things, it is. It’s all the little details that seem to take the longest. I hope we don’t have anything else go wrong and that everything will be exactly as we ordered and request. I’ll be posting about the progress on our house for the next couple of Wednesdays until we finally move in.
April 9
Exterior paint had been started and was almost complete.
Fireplace tile was completely done. The mantle was also placed, but needs to be painted.
They fixed our pennant lights. They had only installed 2, but we had ordered 3.
Paint and exterior patio ceiling fan.
Front porch. These exterior lights are second set they installed. They are still the wrong lights.
Genius! This light fixture is the same one we had them take off from the from pillar! Not what we ordered either.
April 12
The master bedroom shower is almost done.
Exterior paint is complete. Rebar is down and framing for our drive way and sidewalk were done yesterday.
Later today we are going by again to see what else they were able to get done. It’s been raining today. The weather isn’t looking like it’s on our side for the next two weeks, so I hope that they work diligently when the weather is good.
Happy Wednesday! We’re mid-week. It’s all down hill from here!
