Update: Our Nest Progress

A little more than a week left until closing day. If I haven’t said it before, I’ll say it now. There is SO MUCH left to do on our house. Our contractor tried to push our closing date back again…by one more day. If they only need one more day, then they should be able to finish it up on time for closing without pushing our closing date back again. 

I wish I had more pictures to share, but again they didn’t do a whole lot this past week. 

When you drive up to your home that is being built and you see cement trucks, you yell and get excited! Geez! I thought the driveway and sidewalk would never get done! 

We drove by later that evening and found it all done. 

Appliances! Finally!

The backsplash was finally fixed. In this picture it still needed to be re-grouted, which is why it looks like it’s not laying flat. 

Our shower frame was also put in. 

They always seem to have the garage door open, so they finally closed it and I was able to get a pic. 

New front door. It still needs to be stained, but I think it looks great! I didn’t get a picture, but the posts for our fence were put up too. Today or tomorrow they should get the fence up. 

Oh, and for the record, that light fixture is still the wrong one! Someday, hopefully before we close, they’ll get it right!

Today is Wednesday. We have our walk-thru in 2 days. On Friday. At some point this week our landscaping will be done, as well as our wood floors and carpeting. This walk-thru that we are doing is to basically point out things that we notice need to be fixed, or that we don’t like and would like fixed. It’s scheduled for 3 hours. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with an active toddler for 3 hours, but I’ll figure it out.
