We are in the thick of Summer over here and as July is half way thru we are just getting started with our busy time of year. We have a few road trips planned and a vacation coming up, not to mention school starting in a month. Every year we do most of our summer traveling in July, August, and September. As this is being posted, we are packed, picking my husband up from the airport as he returns from a business trip and we’re ready for a road trip this weekend. So in honor of our crazy upcoming and busy travel months, this week I’m dedicating my Five Friday Favorites to traveling.
1. Carry-On Spinner Luggage // I purchased this carry on luggage as well as the larger one last year for my trip to San Francisco. So far it’s held up well and I love the spinner wheels, so easy to move around. I will say white luggage is NOT ideal. I didn’t quite think the whole thing thru, so I was so disappointed when I went to get my luggage at the terminal in SF and noticed that there were scuff marks all over the dang thing. Thank goodness for the Magic Eraser; looks good as new again.
2. Pottery Barn Family Travel Tote // This tote is similar to the tote I have. Mine isn’t available any more, but the only difference is that mine has navy and white stripes. It’s a REALLY LARGE tote, but it carries so much stuff and I take it every time we go out of town.
3. Yeti 30oz Tumbler // Silly to include on here? Nope. I take my Yeti everywhere, especially on road trips. I fill it up with ice and water and it stays cold the entire time and my ice lasts the entire road trip.
4. Hanging Traveler Case // This traveler case is very comparable to my traveler case. I purchased mine a VERY long time ago (like 2009) and they’ve changed the bag style since then, but it still seems like it functions the same. I love that it is lined with PVC plastic for your shampoo or body wash and it doesn’t matter if it gets wet inside of the bag. I also love that you can stand your full-size products up in the bag. It’s the perfect travel item, and you can even put it in your suitcase.
5. Pottery Barn Backpack // This little backpack is the best. We have the Pre-K size and it’s the perfect size for the littles. Mason fills it up with all of the toys he wants to take with him and he’s able to carry it on his own back and tote it along.
Well, while traveling with a kiddo we also make sure we take plenty of snacks for him as well as entertainment to keep us all sane! Ha!
If you have any amazing travel items that make your life easier, please share because we have a few more road trips and a long flight coming up soon.
Have a great weekend, friends!
