This morning was Mason’s first day of Pre-K at a new school and of course we had to capture the obligatory 1st Day of School picture.
The countdown was on for his first day, even though he said he wasn’t ready to go back to school. He really surprised me today, I thought for sure that there would be some tears after being at home all summer with me. He’s a momma’s boy and I was worried he wouldn’t want to go to school today, but he got up, got dressed, ate his breakfast and out of the door we went.
Working on his first assignment that he got at Meet the Teacher.
Some late night decal projects for some of his school supplies and lunch box.
His morning wake up call came way too early, but he did great. He wanted his mama to carry his sleepy self.
Eating his usual breakfast, poptarts and milk. I know, so healthy. 🙂
He was so quiet while we were driving to school. I sometimes wonder what goes thru his little mind. I was worried he was started to worry himself. Before we got out of the car we said a little a prayer for some bravery, a good day with new friends and teachers, and for his teachers.
He’s looking like a big boy who is ready to tackle his day.
His little cubby. He was excited that he could reach it and hang his own back pack. He couldn’t at his last school.
Gosh, I love this boy and I’m so proud of how brave he is to start a new school, again.
Last year when we moved here we chose a school that we thought would be a good fit for him. While it wasn’t terrible, he did not like going to school and everyday was a struggle. This is something that I just wasn’t used to with him. From my momma heart to His ears, I pray that this new school will challenge him and provide him with the guidance, comfort and environment that he needs, and that they pour the word and His love into him all year long.
