Happy Friday, y’all!
It’s been a busy, crazy week over here with school starting, our anniversary and planning for our next trip. I’m so freakin’ tired, like really freakin’ tired and waking up early this whole week definitely hasn’t helped.
Alright, enough is enough, let’s just get on with my Friday Faves.
1. Pumpkin Apple Everything
///
Y’all this scent is UH-mazing. I bought this candle yesterday for $24.50, but of course today it’s on sale for $12.50! What?! Is is just me or it seems like every time I buy something it goes on sale like the next day? Seriously though.
Anyway, I bought this scent in form of a candle, wallflowers room fragrance, Scentportables (for your car), and wax melts. It smells so good and has me wanting Fall to hurry up, never mind that if feels like 104 degrees outside today and just plain hot. If you see me and I smell like pumpkin apple, you know why! Ha!
2. First Day of Pre-K
///
Tuesday was Mason’s first day of Pre-K. He wasn’t super excited to start, because he’s a introvert who is a mama’s boy and that’s okay. Getting prepared for the start of school, especially a new school always takes A LOT of positive affirmations. He had meet the teacher last week which I think helped his anxiety a lot. If you want to read more about his first day of school and see our Back-to-School countdown chalkboard click here.
3. 10th Anniversary
///
Yesterday was our 10th Anniversary. We’ve been together 12 years and married for 10. We celebrated with dinner together sans kiddo. Doesn’t happen often, but when it does it’s always a great time with my guy! Another post coming soon about our anniversary.
4. Sharp Objects
///
This is my current read and so far it’s great and suspenseful. It always take me a week or two to finish a book because I’m usually reading and/or listening to 2 books at one time. I also had no idea that this was an HBO TV series. I just discovered that this past week so it makes me want to read it faster so I can watch the show. I always love reading books and then watching the movie/tv series, of course the book is almost always better than the movie but I still love to compare the two.
5. The Joy of Less
///
If you follow me on IG then you know that I have talked about decluttering and my dilemma with feeling attached to things or rationalizing why I need to keep things in my life/house. This book is great! I’m currently listening to it on Audible and I think it’s really going to help me with the process of decluttering and how to think thru the items that I feel I need to keep. I love Audible books, this is my 4th Audible book and if you feel like you don’t have time to read then you should try it. I usually only listen while I’m getting dressed and sometimes while I’m cleaning.
That’s all for now! Enjoy your weekend.
