Happy Friday, friends! Today, for my Five Friday Favorites, I’m sharing our favorite holiday books.
It’s a tradition in our home to purchase a new holiday book every year for every holiday. I mean you can never have enough books, right?!
The books are listed in no particular order, we like all of them. I’ve linked all of them for you. Just click the title of the book and voĆla, you’ll be linked to the cheapest place to purchase them, so I’ve taken all of the research out for you guys.

This book is probably one of my favorites. It is the cutest story about a Donkey that carries Mary to Bethlehem. It has a great story line about how he might not necessarily be the biggest, fastest or strongest animal, but he has a very important job to do. It’s a board book so super durable with littles.

This is your traditional Night Before Christmas story, a classic every child should hear. The illustrations are bright and cheery, and it is also a board book.

We love all of the Little Blue Truck board books. This one is my son’s favorite of them all because when you get to the end of the story the Christmas tree has real twinkle lights. It also incorporates numbers, so if you little one is learning numbers it’s great. Mason like to count the trees and he’s done that for years and still does it.
Here are some of the other Little Blue Truck books we have:

This book is just like it sounds. Every page has a prayer about things to be thankful for during the Christmas season. Another on with colorful illustrations and is a board book.

Well, another classic. Who doesn’t love The Polar Express. The book and the movie are on constant repeat during the Holiday season. At one point the movie was a year around thing! This 30th Anniversary book comes with a keepsake ornament and bonus audio read. Fun side fact, if you go to polarexpress.com you’ll find an interactive Christmas countdown calendar. They have fun downloadable activities to do with your kids!
Santa’s Sleigh is on It’s Way to Texas: A Christmas Adventure

This one will be a new one for us this year. Mason really likes these books that are related to Texas, because during the story they go to different cities in Texas. He will recognize some cities as where his nana lives, or where his step-brother lives, or where we used live and where we live now. They are so fun. I believe you can get this book as a generic book and not related to a State, and you might also be able to find one for your specific state by searching the title of the book and replacing your State with Texas. We also have an Easter and Halloween one about Texas, they are linked below.
That’s all for now! I hope this gives you some good ideas for books. I’d love it if you would share some of your kiddos favorite holiday books by commenting below.
