This year we kept it very low key. Just the 3 of us, but it was quiet, relaxing and yet still memorable. There is just something special about seeing your kiddo happy about receiving gifts that they have been asking for. The smiles and surprised looks are just the best.
On Christmas Eve we did our traditional routine of going to church and praising the One who we really celebrate on Christmas.
I have loved watching him get older and participating in the candlelit church service.
After church service we went back home, had dinner, put cookies and milk out for Santa and then got Mason to bed.
I wrapped presents and then later that evening while we were all sleeping Santa dropped off some amazing presents for Mason. He got everything he asked for too.

Santa was here |
On Christmas morning we all slept in. Mason didn’t wake up until about 9am and immediately asked to open his presents. Much to his surprise Santa gifted him with a Nintendo Switch and a RC car that he asked for. This boy got all the things he had been asking for including a farm with all of the animals that his nana gave him.

Daddy putting the barn together. |
This barn is big, sturdy and amazing. So many details.
For lunch this mama cooked a honey ham, homemade mashed potatoes, and green bean casserole. Perfect for the three of us, but so many left overs. I’ll be eating ham for days!
To end our Christmas day, later that evening we went to watch a movie. It’s one of our traditions. We celebrate the holiday and then we watch a movie as a family. This year we watch Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Cute movie, perfect for boys!
I hope you had a memorable and blessed Christmas this year.
