Today is Valentine’s Day and this momma is tired. In true Denise fashion, I was up late last night working on Valentine’s Cards/Candy for Mason’s class friends. It took me most of the day to finish his box yesterday, but to see the smile on his face is worth all of the time and mess in the world.
This year he wanted a Minecraft Creeper box. I wasn’t so sure that the school would approve, as seeing that he goes to a Christian school, but we made it anyway. Well, I made it anyway. I tried to make it not so “creepy” by adding a pixelated heart to the box.
This box was super easy to make, just make sure you have enough ink in your printer (that’s why this box was made the day before and not a few days before). I literally printed the paper on then glued it to the shoe box. I found the Minecraft font online.

To go with the Minecraft theme I decided to make Minecraft Valentines for his friends at school. They were super easy to make and I’ve included a free printable for you. I basically purchased a large pack of Kit-Kat bars and created a wrapper to go on the candy bar.
The printable prints off two of these. It WILL NOT have a name on the bottom, but I left enough room for you to write a name in or to use small stickers if you prefer.
This is the paper cutter I use to cut all of the things around my house. I even use it for school pictures. Straight lines every time. It’s a life safer. They are fairly inexpensive and you can replace the blades if needed. I’ve had mine for over 5 years and I’ve never replaced a blade and it still works great. I linked a similar one here.
Instead of using glue I used these clear adhesive dots. You can purchase them at Hobby Lobby in the scrapbooking section. You can also use glue or double sides tape to hold the wrapper together. I linked the Zots here.
The final product turned out just as I had envisioned them to. I love how they turned out.
Here is the FREE printable for you to use.
Remember this wrapper will only fit around a Kit-Kat bar or a similar size candy.
Teacher gifts were kept pretty simple this year. I purchased these mason jars from the Target Dollar spot and filled them up with different kinds of candy. Used twine to hang a gift tag on it. Simple.
Moving on, Mason woke up and was greeted with hugs and kisses and a few small gifts, and of course a new Valentines book.
A couple of days ago I posted about how last year was probably the final year of taking and sending Valentine pics/cards of Mason to family. Sad time for this momma. This pic was the best I could get, but I’ll take it. It’s better than nothing.
Last, but not least, Happy Valentine’s to my first true love! Oh, where would I be without you. I mean let’s be real, we’ll be hanging out tonight and doing the usual, because we don’t need a special man-made holiday to know and show each other our love for one another. I love you every.single.day.
Wishing you all a day filled with love, candy, hugs and kisses!
Happy Heart Day!
XOXO
