Last week we welcomed our little guy into the world.
Last picture of my bump. I had a scheduled c-section due to placenta previa and had to be at the hospital by 6:30am for labs, paperwork, and an IV. My mom stayed at home with Mason and took great care of him while we were gone.
They rolled me back by 9:00am and by 9:56am we had a perfectly healthy baby boy. I’ll tell you, the best sound you’ll ever hear is your baby’s first cry because it means he/she is breathing. It’s always at that moment that you’re holding your own breath waiting for your baby to breathe. They pulled down one of the drapes and showed him to me thru the clear drape and they took him to my husband.
Much like my first c-section, I had a lot of blood loss. This time I actually had to have a transfusion because I lost so much. My blood levels were already low going into the c-section, so it was a risk.
My husband did not go in the operating room with me, because last time he almost passed out, so I told him he should wait in the postpartum room where he waited for Judah.
Proud daddy!
After a 2 day stay we were able to go home. This recovery has been a lot easier than my first c-section. Brother was so excited to see his little brother. I was sad that he couldn’t go to the hospital to see him sooner, but we were able to FaceTime him and he was able to see his brother right away.
Meeting for the first time.
Feeding his brother.
So happy!
We are all so in love with this little guy and we are so blessed to be able to call him ours.
