This is where it started. This is the lot we chose. This is NOT the first lot we chose. The first lot we chose was a walkout lot (that basically means we can walk out to our backyard from our basement), but that lot did not fit this ranch style floor plan we chose. So, we chose this lot with golf course views. This is what it was like before the build began.

A little more progress over 2 days.

Wall forms went up and were ready for pouring concrete for basement walls.
May 6, 2021
Basement walls were done. We also got notification that progress would not continue until July due to shortage of framers. So, it also will delay our closing and push it out until November.

Garage concrete was poured. We sat and waited until July for framing to begin.

Framing started. We were excited to see that something was happening with our house. These pics were taken the day before we left out of town for a week.

We were gone for 6 days on vacation and came back to what actually looked like a house.

Here we are! This is the latest. Windows are installed. We almost have shingles up. Plumbing rough-ins are done and HVAC is also installed. The windows look amazing and I’m so glad that we decided to splurge on the black interior/exterior windows. The window in the boys bathroom is being changed to a smaller window. We made some changes to that bathroom that doesn’t allow for the large window to fit proportionately. They put a rush on the window, but its still 6 weeks out from getting it. In the meantime, they continue moving forward and install it once it comes in. We’re also missing a small window that goes above the 2 car garage. They’ll be working on getting that one installed too.
Monday we have our electrical meeting. All is moving quickly, but not quick enough! When you haven’t had your “own” home for 2 years, things can’t move fast enough. Pushing out our closing date was a bummer, but it is what it is. Let’s hope they try really hard to get us close to our original closing date in October.
